None of the Library digital resources - ebooks, ejournals, databases, or primary sources use VPN for access.

With the old VPN - once it was turned on - it acted as if you were on campus and when you went to a journal directly - e.g. www.sciencedirect.com - it would let you see the subscribed content.  The new one - that does not happen.

The new VPN does not send all traffic across the network so even though it is turned on, it will not provide access to the Libraries' content.

Students and faculty need to follow the links on the library pages - using JournalFinder or other links from the Libraries' webpages which will send them through proxy - and not go directly to the resource - to gain access.

Wiley titles that only used to be available from off campus via VPN are now processed through proxy so do not need VPN anymore.
