Confidential Print: Africa 1834-1966- Adam Matthew

 

The Confidential Print series was issued by the British Government between c. 1820 and 1970.  It  originated out of a need to preserve the most important papers generated by the Foreign and Colonial Offices. These range from single-page letters or telegrams to comprehensive dispatches, investigative reports and texts of treaties. All items marked ‘Confidential Print’ were printed and circulated immediately to leading officials in the Foreign Office, to the Cabinet, and to heads of British missions abroad.

 

Slavery Abolition and Social Justice- Adam Matthew

 

This resource brings together documents and collections from libraries and archives across the Atlantic world covering an extensive time period from 1490. Close attention has been given to the varieties of slavery, the legacy of slavery, the social justice perspective and the continued existence of slavery today.

An interdisciplinary resource of materials from and about Ireland; materials span from the 1780s to the present.  Titles include journals on Irish literature, history, life sciences, sociology, anthropology and archaeology among others.

 

Pravada Digital Archive – Eastview

 

Searchable full-text and page images of the Russian newspaper Pravda, from its founding in 1912 to current.  Official publication ceased in 2009 but successor publications are included in the archive.  Text is in Russian.

 

Archives of Human Sexuality part II – Gale

 

Includes 30 additional collections including the Dan Siminoski Collection on Federal Bureau of Investigation Surveillance of Gays and Lesbians, Gay Activists Alliance, Herstory Archive, and the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives all available for searching within a uniform interface with part I of the collection.

Has been upgraded to Government, Politics, and Law collection.  It contains more than 80 million pages of content across 80,000 titles and 195,000 volumes. HeinOnline bridges the gap in history by providing comprehensive coverage from inception of more than 2,300 periodicals. In addition to its vast collection of journals, the database also contains the Congressional Record bound volumes in entirety, complete coverage of the U.S. Reports back to 1754, constitutions for every country in the world, classic books from the 18th & 19th centuries, all United States Treaties, the Federal Register and CFR from inception, and much more!
