Hours & Location

Special Collections & University Archives is located on the second level near the Main Stair of the Case Library and Geyer Center for Information Technology.


During the academic semester (not including finals week):

Monday-Friday: 1:00-5:00 p.m. 

Monday evenings: 6:00-9:00 p.m. (starting the fourth week of the academic semester) 

Closed Saturdays and Sundays

Additional reading room closures to accommodate SCUA instruction sessions:

Wednesday, January 31: closed 1:00-2:45 p.m., 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Friday, February 2: closed 3:45-5:00 p.m.

Monday, February 5: closed 1:00-2:45 p.m.

Monday, February 12: closed 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 14: closed 2:30-4:00 p.m.


During breaks, finals week, and the summer, hours are by appointment. Access during these times may be very limited.


Reading room capacity is limited to 8 researchers at a time.  Researchers, particularly off-campus researchers, are encouraged to confirm staff availability prior to planning a visit, especially if traveling any distance.  Researchers should review our established use guidelines prior to their visit.
